Toshiba intros Satellite, Satellite Pro C660 PCs

Toshiba has revealed two new notebooks in the form of the 15.6-inch Satellite C660 and Satellite Pro 660. Either can be had with chips from AMD or Intel, up to an Athlon II or Core i3, respectively. To keep prices low, there is only integrated graphics on both, with either Radeon or GMA HD video depending on the choice of processor.

Users can, however, upgrade the notebooks up to 8GB of RAM and a 640GB hard drive. A multi-touch trackpad is standard, as is a numeric keypad. The Pro version gets Windows 7 Professional, a textured black exterior and a glare-free screen. Other features bring USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth, an Ethernet port and a multi-card reader. Two speakers, a webcam and microphone are built-in.

The two new Satellites ship this fall in Europe, Middle East and Africa though pricing hasn't been revealed. They are likely to arrive in North America sometime next year, though they may be upgraded with newer processors by the time they arrive.
