G'zOne Ravine flip phone official for Verizon

Verizon confirmed that the Casio G'zOne Ravine will reach the provider this month. The rugged flip phone is resistant to dust, water, temperature extremes and shock and supports Verizon's Push-to-Talk system. It has a text-to-speech feature that allows hands-free texting, along with a 3.2-megapixel camera with an LED flash.

VZ Navigator provides spoken directions. Outdoor users have access to seven tailored apps, including an Earth Compass, Walking Counter, Thermometer, Tides, Sunrise and Sunset times, and Astra Calendar and Star Gazer.

The Casio G’zOne Ravine will cost $150 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract. No specific launch dates were discussed, however.
