Controller appears on ABC Nightline

Sony's Google TV controller has been exposed ahead of schedule, making an appearance on an episode of NBC Nightline. The controller appears to pair a full QWERTY keyboard with two directional pads, standard volume/channel controls for the TV, and a variety of playback buttons. The large layout leaves enough room for extra button rows with numbers and shortcuts to different functions.

Google TV-enabled devices are set to arrive on the market next week. Sony will introduce its Bravia GT1 television, while Logitech is readying its Revue set-top box. It is unclear if Sony will introduce the controller alongside the TV. [via Engadget]
