Google works to bring Hulu to Google TV

Status of negotiations still unclear

Amid reports focusing on Google TV's lack partnerships with major networks, Logitech representatives have confirmed that the search giant is trying to bring Hulu streaming video service to the forthcoming set-top box. Specific details remain slim, although Google is said to be involved in ongoing negotiations with Hulu executives.

If the companies strike a deal, which is considered a likely outcome, the service will likely be limited to Hulu Plus subscribers. Hulu has partnered with a wide range of hardware companies to bring its streaming service to products such as TiVo Premiere and Roku, however none of the set-top boxes provide access to Hulu's free content.

Logitech is currently taking pre-orders for its Google TV box, the Revue, which sells for $300. [via Gizmodo]

Yes, Apple TV really looks like a "Hobby" (or a joke) when you compare it to Google TV.
