Sony Google TV range leaked, priced
Preliminary basic specs and prices on Sony's Google TV range have been leaked, thanks to SonyInsider. There will be a 24-inch NSX-24GT1, 32-inch NSX-32GT1, 40-inch NSX-40GT1 and 46-inch NSX-46GT1 officially announced during the October 12 launch. Each houses an Intel CPU and the ability to connect to the web and surf Flash websites.
During a Best Buy tech preview, it was revealed that the 46-inch GT1 set will have an edge-lit LED display and use a USB adapter for Wi-Fi access when an Ethernet cable isn't an option.
The unofficial prices come in at $1,300 for the 32-inch set, $1,500 for the 40-inch TV, and $1,900 for a 46-inch model. Pricing for the 24-inch model hasn't been revealed but might come near the $1,000 mark.
At the same time, also leaked via an internal Sony site was the company's NSZ-GT1 Internet TV Box, a stand-alone option for those without Sony TVs or the willingness to limit Google TV to a single screen. Few details are available, but the slip mentions an eject button for a likely Blu-ray player, a Wi-Fi module and a bundled HDMI cable.
