Marantz Melody Media also DLNA compliant

Marantz Europe has unveiled its new Apple Airplay certified CD receiver, the Melody Media. Designed for the tech savvy the device offers surprising flexibility in the array of options it offers users for sourcing their music. In addition to CDs, users have the choice of streaming audio from Apple’s Airplay compatible devices including the iPhone and iPad, a “Works with iPhone” USB port, playing WMA files from CD-R/RW, or by connecting it their PC via its Ethernet input.

The DLNA certified device also plays streaming music from Internet radio stations from around the globe using its built-in Vtuner; it even supports the Napster service. Its built-in DAB and DAB + capable receiver will also allow users to tune into digital radio broadcasting and outputs music at 60W RMS peak power.

US availability has yet to be announced for the Marantz Melody Music (M-CR503), although it begins retailing in Europe this month for the equivalent of $770.
