Notebook prices at $200 with two-year contract

Verizon has announced that it is now selling HP's Pavilion dm1 notebook, which is tied to the carrier's mobile broadband plans. The 11.6-inch notebook is shipping for $200 after a $100 mail-in rebate, when tied to a two-year agreement.

The dm1 features a 1.3GHz AMD Athlon II processor, 1366x768 resolution display, 2GB of memory, and an integrated webcam. The notebook comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit pre-loaded.

Verizon's data pricing provides 250MB for $40/month, or 5GB for $60/month. For $449, HP sells the dm1z configuration with a 1.7GHz processor and no data contracts.
