3 UK points to Windows Phone 7 shipping in 2 weeks

An escaped roadmap from British carrier 3 has locked in a ship date for Windows Phone 7 devices in the country. The sheet obtained by Engadget shows what's likely to be the Omnia 7 reaching the provider on October 21. It further shows Microsoft launching with at least2,000 apps in Windows Phone Marketplace from the start, hinting that WP7 will have had a good early catalog.

The hardware details largely line up with those of leaks and would give it a four-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a five-megapixel camera, a 1GHz processor and 8GB of internal storage.

3's timing roughly lines up with internal schedule slips that have put a November 8 ship date in the US and a European launch in October. Pricing and most other details aren't known, but the cost will most likely be comparable to the similarly specified Samsung Galaxy S. North American customers may get an equivalent in the Cetus.
