Acer Aspire One Happy shows up, due in Italy

Acer today officially unveiled a new Aspire One netbook targeted at a much different audience, the Happy. The dual-boot computer uses both Windows 7 and Android and is unique in having a pastel color palette that includes blue, green, pink and purple.. The 10.1-inch, 1024x600 display is familiar and complemented by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom with 1GB of RAM.

A dual-core 1.5GHz Atom will be optional, as will 2GB of RAM with that CPU only. A 160GB hard drive is standard, and a 250GB unit optional. With a six-cell battery, the netbook weighs just under 2.8lbs. The netbook otherwise packs Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet standard, with 3G optional. It's made for world travelers, as the AC charger has multiple wall plugs for compatibility with different wall plugs in various countries.

The netbooks arrive in Italy and other European countries this November, priced starting at 349 Euros (about $483). No indication has been given as to whether it will come to North America and for what price. [via Notebook Italia]
