New Insignia portable HD Radio due at Best Buy
Best Buy's in-house Insignia label has released a second-generation portable HD Radio in the NS-HD02. A direct successor to the NS-HD01, it features improvements such as a larger capacitive touchscreen rather than an LCD and button combination, as well as three new features. An Artist Experience shows images related to the song being played along with ads, Live Pause buffers back by as much as 15 minutes for rewinds, and a Bookmark identifies favorite tracks.
The device will otherwise get a 3.5mm headphone jack and includes earbuds as well as an armband. The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery is said to have an eight hour life. The HD02 can only pick up FM radio HD stations and does not have the ability to playback any locally stored music.
The HD02 arrives at Best Buy on October 24 and will cost $70, or about $20 dearer than the predecessor. [via Twice]
