Samsung ships Freeform II handset to MetroPCS

Samsung said today it has began supplying provider MetroPCS with its Freeform II handset. Equipped with a QWERTY hardware keyboard, the feature phone has a 2.2-inch, 320x240 screen. Other features include stereo Bluetooth audio and a 1.3-megapixel camera.

Users can access the MetroNavigator GPS turn-by-turn navigation service and browse the web. An MP3 music player is built-in and up to 16GB of memory can be added through microSD memory cards. Battery life is rated at up to five hours of talk time.

What the handset will cost hasn't been revealed, but it’s likely there won't be much of a premium, if any, over the currently available Freeform.
