SMK PadDock speaker rotates with your iPad, mimics your iMac

SMK intros PadDock 10 iPad speaker dock

SMK today took an unusual approach into iPad speaker docks through the PadDock 10. The curved stand design deliberately recalls the look of an iMac but has a unique level of rotation. The cradle grips rotate a full 360 degrees while keeping the speakers in place, letting the iPad play sound in any position and accommodating any app regardless of the orientation it wants.

The dock has its own USB support and can sync with a computer. A toggle switch lets users turn off syncing if they don't want the tablet to talk to the computer but to still draw power. It can still operate independently of any power source.

Pre-orders have started today for the PadDock. Shipments start November 1 and should see the speaker dock priced at $100.

You know a dock like this, without the speaker would be really nice.
