MobilePro boosts your phone signal strength 2x

Wilson has unveiled its SignalBoost MobilePro which promises to deliver up to 2x the signal strength to your handset. The device works by simply being plugged into the nearest power socket and automatically boosts the signal strength to your phone. It is also recommended for users of laptop data cards as it can also be powered by a USB port.

It is a Dual-Band booster, that pumps up signals at the 800MHz and 1900MHz spectrum and is FCC and Industry Canada type approved. The kit includes an amplifier, low-profile indoor use antenna, a 6-foot coaxial cable, universal external antenna adapter and a power cable that plugs into a 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter.

The device supports multiple devices, so presumably if used on the go, your fellow travelers will also be very pleased by the performance of their phone or laptop in remote locations or low signal strength areas.

The device is available now for $270. [via Referret]

    Well Gee

Unfortunately, because it runs 800/1900mhz it won't boost your iPhone or AT&T Modem signal if you're in a 850Mhz area, like in San Francisco.

    Sad day for you.

800Mhz band and 850Mhz band are interchangeable. They are one in the same.
