U-verse Mobile arrives for Android

AT&T on Monday expanded U-verse Mobile beyond the iPhone today by porting it to its Android devices as well as the BlackBerry Curve 3G. The app as always gives subscribers to the TV service a way of scheduling their DVRs from cellular or Wi-Fi. They can also download some TV shows to watch them later, though over Wi-Fi and when a show's producer has greenlit downloads.

Support is available immediately through an Android Market download for the current Android phones on the network, the HTC Aria and the Samsung Captivate, but AT&T is also promising support for the Motorola Bravo and Flipside in the near future. It's unclear why the Flipout isn't supported, but its small 320x240 resolution may play a role. Curve 3G owners can get the equivalent app today in BlackBerry App World.

The level of access depends on the U-verse package. Everyone can schedule DVR content, but only those with a U300 or better package can download shows.
