MetroPCS brings its 4G LTE service to Detroit

Pre-paid wireless provider MetroPCS has now announced it added a third LTE-based 4G market in Detroit. The Motor City joins Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth, with the service available on the carrier's Samsung Craft 4G handset. The plans start at a tax-inclusive $55 and top out at $60. The base plan includes unlimited US calling, texting, messaging and data. The $60 plan adds a RealNetworks streaming portion.

The Craft is a basic feature phone but sports a full HTML browser, a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel rear camera, GPS and Wi-Fi. It ships with a 2GB microSD card preloaded with Star Trek. It costs $299 off-contract after a $50 rebate.
