Report hints at Google TV offering
Taiwan-based Chunghwa Telecom is reportedly collaborating with Intel to develop "smart TV" products and services, along with cloud computing technology and applications, according to a Commercial Times report. Chunghwa chairman Lu Shyue-ching is said to be talking directly with Intel head Paul Otellini.
Although the exact identity of the "smart TV" device has yet to be officially confirmed, Intel has worked with other companies to create Google TV products. Sony's Internet TV lineup is powered by Atom processors.
Chunghwa is the dominant telecommunications provider in Taiwan, with services ranging from Internet to mobile networks.
