Not quite ready for primetime, but coming soon

Sling has posted video demo (included below) of its SlingPlayer app for Windows Phone 7. The quality of the demo suggests that the app is not far from official release as the streaming live TV is displayed in a high quality format with no lag. According to the Sling Product Manager narrating the clip, the improvements in the Windows Phone 7 core OS have enabled the SlingPlayer to deliver video performance at four times the resolution of previous iterations of Windows Mobile.

As Sling already produces SlingPlayer apps for iPhone and Android, it will be a welcomed by fans of WP7. No official launch date has been announced, although the app can be expected to appear for download soon in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
