T-Mobile brings $15 tethering plan on November 3

T-Mobile will add a $15 tethering add-on to its offerings on November 3, according to a Tuesday report. Officially called the Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing Add-On, it will cost $15 per month and allow users to tether other Wi-Fi devices to the 3G data connections of their smartphones. Users need to have a minimum $20 unlimited web plan on either postpaid or Flex Pay schemes before they can get the tethering feature, BGR was told.

The tethering feature will allow users to connect iPads and other tablets using either a USB cable, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection, although only Wi-Fi would be an option for the iPad. In the memo, which appears to be written for customers, T-Mobile warns subscribers who are already using tethering through their devices are breaking its official terms. They will receive a message on their phones that says they now need to add the tethering plan.

November 3 will be a big day for T-Mobile, as the day should see the launch of the Huawei Comet, rugged Motorola Defy, and LG Optimus T handsets.
