T-Mobile myTouch 4G official for November 3

Following quickly on the heels of leaks, T-Mobile tonight locked down the shipping details for the myTouch 4G. The full-touch Android phone should ship on November 3 and will have an official price of $200 on a contract. Wirefly and a handful of other retailers are already selling it for $150.

The myTouch 4G is still a 3G phone but gets its name from its HSPA+ access, which theoretically pushes it up beyond Sprint's WiMAX speeds at a peak 14.4Mbps. With an upgraded 1GHz Snapdragon, it will be the fastest currently shipping Android phone in the US and comes with a five-megapixel, 720p-capable camera to match. Android 2.2 is already built-in, and the phone uses T-Mobile's customized version of Sense UI rather than HTC's own.

Europeans already have access to the myTouch 4G through the HTC Desire HD, which apart from its different unibody design, European 3G and HTC Sense is virtually identical.
