UI Centric cancels plans for Windows 7 tablet PC
Work on a promised Windows 7 tablet PC preloaded with the Macallan user interface has been stopped and the tablet itself canceled, Engadget reported on Wednesday. UI Centric, the maker of the software that lets users navigate like turning pages in a book, no longer promises a tablet with its software. Details for the cancellation haven't been released.
The tablet was supposed to have been released this summer. UI Centric is teasing a new announcement is coming, though no information on what it will involve is known. The Macallan UI interface supports Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight and uses a page flip gesture.
