Wildfire carriers still unclear

HTC has confirmed that its entry-level Wildfire handset is due to arrive at US carriers sometime this fall. The entry-level Android handset, which first appeared in Europe and Asia, sports a 320x240 capacitive touchscreen measuring 3.2 inches. Android 2.1 is powered by a 525MHz processor, while the 5-megapixel camera offers autofocus and flash.

The company has yet to announce a specific release date in the US, or a list of carriers that will offer the device. Pricing also remains unknown, although the handset is expected to fall in the low-price smartphone category. [via MobileBurn]
