Both integrate 3D cameras

Sharp has introduced two Android phones, the Galapagos 003SH and 005SH, featuring glasses-free 3D displays. Both devices, which will be headed to Softbank in Japan, offer Android 2.2 and 3.8-inch displays with 800x480 resolution. Other common hardware specs include a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi and GPS receiver.

The 003SH features a 9.6-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 3D still capture, and support for 720p video recording. The 005SH downgrades to an 8.0-megapixel camera sensor, but adds a full QWERTY keyboard and slightly more internal memory.

To highlight the 3D capabilities of both handsets, Sharp will introduce seven 3D movies including Shrek and Despicable Me. The company will also include seven 3D games, with titles such as Bio Hazard, Konami Mobile Baseball, and Taiko No Tatsujin.

The Galapagos handsets are scheduled to arrive on the market in July. [via Akihabara]
