ViewSonic intros green-credentialed VG36 LED displays

Comes in 22-, and 24 inch, with EPEAT Gold
ViewSonic has launched a new, more eco-friendly range of monitors, the VG36-LED series. They are both Energy Star and EPEAT Gold certificatied and deliver energy savings of up to 50% over similar, non-LED backlit displays. The range includes the 22-inch VG2236wm-LED and the 24-inch VG2436wm-LED, which are both 1080p capable.
Connectivity is supplied by way of VGA and DVI adapters, and the LED backlighting helps to give the displays a high contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1. They both also include a pair of built-in stereo speakers.
They are shipping now with the 22-inch VG2236wm-LED going for $229 and the VG2436wm-LED for $259.
