Leak corroborates 1.2GHz spec
The Droid 2 Global, widely expected to launch in the near future, has been tied to a firmer release date of November 11. A leaked image posted on Engadget also corroborates earlier reports pointing to an upgraded 1.2GHz processor. The Thursday launch date appears to be limited to the blue variant, however, rather than the rumored white edition.
The handset is expected to be geared for business customers, with features such as QuickOffice and remote wipe of the primary memory and contents of the microSD card. Specs shared with the standard Droid 2 include a five-megapixel camera with 720p video recording, 8GB of internal storage, and an 8GB card.
Verizon has yet to confirm specs or provide pricing and launch information for the Droid 2 Global.
