Dell Venue Pro sells at Microsoft stores

Dell's Venue Pro has already joined the Windows Phone 7 launch with at least a few reports of customers getting theirs at Microsoft stores. The devices are available in "limited quantities" and so far don't appear to be available at T-Mobile stores. One of the earliest stores in Mission Viejo, California only had ten units to sell, an early adoptee said.

The phone was never officially penned in for the WP7 US release today, but slips from its internal systems confirmed that it would be available today through Microsoft shops. As a result, it's now certain that Dell's own website should have the Venue Pro on November 15 barring last-minute delays.

The Venue Pro is unique on the platform as not only the sole Dell device in the mix but the only vertical QWERTY slider. Dell chose the design due to WP7's lack of native landscape support and has also made it one of the more advanced designs through its 4.1-inch, curved AMOLED touchscreen. A five-megapixel camera and 8GB of storage fill out the core features. [via Engadget]
