Google to give away free in-flight Wi-Fi during holidays

Google gives free Wi-Fi on AirTrain, Delta, Virgin

Google today restarted its free holiday Wi-Fi program with an approach that focuses on the flights. The new plan will give free Internet access on any AirTran, Delta or Virgin America domestic flight from November 20 through to January 2. The effort is promoted by the Chrome browser team in an attempt to drive use of the browser.

The company gave away airport access last year and championed it as a success, since some of the 47 airports now offer free Wi-Fi permanently where they had previously either charged for access or had no Wi-Fi at all.

Depending on the length of the flight and the device type, users could save between $5 and $12 for the access. Gogo is the common thread on all three carriers and uses an in-air, EVDO-based 3G router to share a 1.5Mbps Internet connection over Wi-Fi with all the passengers on a given flight.

    Huh?

"Google today restarted its free holiday Wi-Fi program with an approach that focuses on the flights."

Shouldn't "the flights" be "domestic airline flights" ?
