Nokia N8 now at Rogers for $80

Canadian wireless provider Rogers has now confirmed it is getting Nokia's flagship offering, the N8, becoming its first provider in North America. The Symbian device focuses on photography first and sports a 12-megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens as well as a Xenon flash. The video recording quality tops out at 720p and there is support for Dolby Digital Plus surround sound.

Users interface using a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen, and there is 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to 32GB thanks to a microSDHC slot. An HDMI output lets users watch the videos they've captured or downloaded on their HDTVs, and the battery is good for six hours of video playback. The WebKit-based browser supports Flash Lite content, and a GPS receiver is built in.

The N8 is priced at $80CAD ($80) on certain three-year voice and data plans.
