Zeal flipphone priced, dated for Verizon
Verizon will soon begin shipping the Samsung Zeal handset, first leaked in a rebate form at the end of October. The dual-hinge flip phone will replace the Alias 2 when it arrives on Thursday, November 11, and will bring with it an E Ink QWERTY keyboard that switches its button layout based on orientation. The entry-level phone gets a 2.6-inch, 240x320 display, a two-megapixel camera and Bluetooth, while storage comes from microSD memory cards.
Users will have access to Samsung's Social Beat Application that brings together contacts and updates to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and more than 50 sports, news and entertainment feeds. A Skype app is preloaded, and users can get driving directions through VZ Navigator.
The Zeal will cost $80 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.

What?
So the only difference is the color and few applications? I have an Alias 2 (which I got at launch for $50) and the Zeal matches it spec-for-spec. The addition of Social Beat and Skype just seem like ways to get higher data charges out of it.
