Giorgio Armani bringing out branded Galaxy S

Giorgio Armani has once again collaborated with Samsung to bring out a more exclusive and luxurious version of a smartphone. The Android-powered Galaxy S received the treatment this time around, though how exactly it differs from the standard device in hardware other than one Giorgio Armani logo on its face hasn't been revealed. An Armani app will also be preloaded, though exactly what it does is unknown.

The same 4-inch, 800x480 Super AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera, 1GHz CPU, 16GB of storage space and other features remain intact

The special edition phone arrives in Giorgio Armani boutiques in Italy, France, the UK, Germany, Dubai, China, Hong Kong, Spain, Russia and the Netherlands starting in December for the equivalent of about $965. While no contract is likely required, this still represents a premium of between $385 and $465 over the standard Samsung Galaxy S smartphone's US pricing.

Samsung has collaborated with Giorgio Armani on special edition handsets thrice in the past, including with the Samsung M7500 Emporio Armani Night Effect. [ HighSnobiety]
