Includes webcam, supports 10.5 and 10.6

Mino Monitors has unveiled a new iMo eye9 mini-monitor, capable of extending the screen "real estate" of PCs and Macs via USB with both touchscreen capability and an included webcam. It can be used in a variety of ways, from digital picture frame to touch-based second window, where for example palettes or controls where touch could be used could be "stored" off the main screen.

The 1024x600 resolution iMo eye9 includes a dual-hinged stand for landscape or portrait orientation, and the screen can easily be detached from the stand for use in a tablet style. The 1.3 megapixel webcam can be rotated a full 360 degrees to allow easy switching of viewing angle while chatting. A secondary tablet "kickstand" also doubles as a stylus, allowing for drawing or handwriting applications. The screen area can be protected by an included snap-on cover.

The monitor uses a resistive touchscreen technology, supports Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 via downloadable drivers and weighs only 1.5 pounds. An optional Flex-Arm Mount, purchased separately, allows the iMo eye9 to be attached to almost any surface.

The $230 iMo eye9 will be available November 20th, but pre-orders are being accepted now. The mounting arm is available for $40.
