updated 05:25 am EST, Tue November 16, 2010

835 offers numerous creative functions

Epson has released its new Artisan 835 All-In-One printing and scanning solution. It offers what Epson claims is the world’s fastest 4”x6” photo print speeds and a large 7.8” multi-function touch panel. It is capable of wireless networking for remote printing and also supports Apple’s forthcoming iOS 4.2 update, which allows wireless printing from the iPhone and iPad.

As its name suggests, its focus is on helping users get creative with options for creating photo books, greeting cards, and coloring book pages.

The Epson Artisan 835 is currently available through retail outlets and Epson’s online webstore for $300. However, Epson’s online store is currently offering a $100 rebate bringing the cost down to $200 for a limited time.

Not sure why you are not able to work your Artisan wirelessly. I have worked with dozens of these and they are the easiest printer I have worked with to get it joined to an existing WiFi network. I never use the install disk software, instead I use the touch pad menu. Once you select the WiFi settings, it will show you all the WiFi signals it can see and you select your network and put in the password if your network is password protected. It is just that simple.

    What's to figure out?

My 810's been working flawlessly over WPA2 encrypted wifi ever since I bought it. Never had to work out anything to get it going.
