Buffalo shows two simple USB hard drives

Buffalo on Tuesday introduced two new hard drives, including the MiniStation Stealth and DriveStation Axis LED. The former is a portable, USB-powered drive while the latter adds a status LED meter to the existing DriveStation Axis drive. Both are preloaded with the Buffalo Tools software that aims to improve the user experience with Windows PCs. The drives are compatible with Macs out of the box as well.

This includes TurboPC, meant to speed up file transfers by a factor of two. Buffalo's Backup Utility backs up important data and has a simple to use data restore feature.

The MiniStation Stealth ships this month, priced at $75 for the 320GB model, $90 for the 500GB unit and $105 for the 640GB version. The DriveStation Axis LED arrives in January, with the 1TB model priced at $100 and the 2TB model at $160.
