LG E-Note tablet with Windows 7 ships in Korea
The LG H1000B tablet that showed up early this month at the FCC is now shipping in Korea as the E-Note H1000B. The Windows 7-powered tablet uses a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 and has a 16GB solid state drive. The capacitive touchscreen measures 10.1 inches and has a 1366x768 resolution, with a cradle stand and a stylus included for those who need pen-based apps.
Otherwise, buyers get 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, an accelerometer and a four-cell battery. There are two USB ports, an SD memory card slot and Windows menu and power buttons, in addition to a volume adjustment control. The device tips the scales at just under 1.9lbs and is about 0.6 inches thick.
The equivalent selling price of the E-Note H1000B is $851, but this includes a bundled portable WiMAX router, called WiBro in Korea. No indication if or when it will arrive in North America, but this isn't likely due to its high price. [via NetbookNews]
