HP G62x notebook now shipping for $530

HP has just quietly added a new, range-topping notebook to complement the currently available G62m and G62t. The 15.6-inch G62x gets a standard 2.26GHz Core i3 and not the 2.2GHz Celeron or 2GHz Pentium Dual Core, respectively, found in the other two. A 2.4GHz Core i3 is optional.

The notebooks otherwise share the same 15.6-inch, 1366x768 resolution screen, Wi-Fi, HDMI output, three USB 2.0 ports, DVD burner and a six-cell battery. The G62x starts at $530 after a $100 instant rebate and is now shipping. The G62m and G62t start at $430 and $450, respectively.
