No more plastic waste, improved sustainability

Yanko Design has unveiled a radical wax-based printing concept the Wax-on by designer Faris Eimasu. The radical design replaces traditional ink-based plastic cartridges with a re-loadable tube that houses colored wax. The minimal, upright design also reduces the desktop footprint of a traditional printer.

According to the Yanko design website, the concept challenges the future of printing and takes advantage of new advancements in wax ink printing and sustainability. [via Ubergizmo]

    old is new again

Reminds me of the thermal printers on the early '90s.

    The perfect printer

The perfect printer if you happen to have a pneumatic tube delivery system in your facility. The curved paper-catcher at the bottom will roll your otherwise-flat output pages into a tube, in preparation for stuffing them into the tube for delivery.

Aside from the hapless paper-catcher on output, a very cool looking machine.
