Sony updates PSP, UK TVs for Qriocity movie streaming

Sony intros Qriocity streaming service to devices
Sony will soon bring its Qriocity service to the PSP and connected Bravia TVs, Blu-ray players and home theater systems in the UK. In the PSP, this means access to Sony's Music Unlimited library, while the other devices will have access to streaming access. The PSP requires a software update, v6.35 that's coming soon. This will bring with it a new icon under the XMB interface's Music category.
The software will also include an updated Media Go application for managing downloadable PSP content on a PC along with new photo editing tools.
At the same time, Video on Demand powered by Qriocity is coming to devices other than the PSP in the UK, though the PS3 has been skipped over due to its existing store. Later on, audio, gaming and e-book content is promised to arrive as well. First, movies will be available from Fox, Lionsgate, MGM, Paramount, Sony, Starz, Disney, NBC Universal and Warner Bros. in both SD and HD.
Users will have 14 days to finish watching a movie or show they've selected, and can watch it as many times as they want within 48 hours. Renting standard-definition movies will cost the equivalent of nearly $4 (£2.49), while new releases in SD will cost about $5.50 (£3.49).
