Key Safe transports passwords, works on Macs, PCs

SplashData is launching a USB flash-drive version of its SplashID password manager, SplashID Key Safe. The new 2GB USB drive, shaped as a key, provides password-protected access to passwords, logins and other sensitive information. Upon removal, all the sensitive data remains on the USB Key drive, with none of the passwords left behind. It allows a user to transport passwords to public computers or from home to work computers. It also works between Macs and PCs.

The Key Safe features web page auto-fill and an option to sync with databases. It also uses auto search to find records by entering the first few letters of the name in the search field.

The new SplashID Key Safe is $30 with free shipping through Tuesday. The software works with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher, Windows XP, Vista and 7, along with numerous mobile platforms, such as iOS and Android.
