Lenovo S800 to get color transparent display

Lenovo is showing off a unique handset, with a transparent display that supports color. Thus far being called the S800, the phone was shown at a fashion show in Beijing, with attendees not being allowed to get their hands on it. Despite this, reports show that the handset is fully functional, capable of making calls and sending text messages.

The concept isn't new, as Sony Ericsson released its Xperia Pureness last year with a similar see-through display. It was only gray-scale, however.

Specs, ship dates or pricing for the Lenovo handset remain unknown at this time. [via ClonedInChina]
