Towers use 3.5-inch; 2.5-inch disks, 2.5-inch SSDs

Sans Digital has released two new five-bay RAID towers in its TowerSTOR series. The 2.5-inch drive oriented TS25CT and its 3.5-inch counterpart the TS35CT have built in hardware RAID processors, supporting RAID 0, 1, 10, 3, 5 and JBOD (just a bunch of disks) or CLONE options. Status information is provided on the tower via LEDs, and software is included for monitoring real-time information from a given volume.

Both towers provide three interface options, with eSATA, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 all choices. The TS25CT's smaller bays allow for using either spinning disks or SSD drives while supporting up to 2.5TB, while the TS5CT supports up to 10TB using regular disks.

The TowerSTOR TS25CT is available for $700 with no included storage, while the TowerSTOR TS35CT is $660 diskless and $1,750 with five 2TB disks included.
