Sonos job posting seeks home theater expert

Sonos, maker of wireless home audio systems such as the ZonePlayer S5 and iPod docks, may be looking into developing a home theater system. Indication of this comes from a job posting on Sonos' website that seeks to fill the Senior Product Manager, Home Theater Sound position. Little in terms of specifics can be gleaned from the posting, but Sonos is looking for "a successful, experienced home entertainment product leader to help us re-invent home theater sound for the digital age."

There is also mention of new concepts and leading a new product creation team. The position is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts or Santa Barbara, California, and Sonos is interested enough to offer relocation to the ideal candidate. This includes, among other qualifications, a background in acoustics, electrical or mechanical engineering, along with design experience.

Whatever the product is, it will be sold in North American, European and Asian markets. Current Sonos devices are intended just for pure audio. [via CePro]
