TRENDnet ships 300Mbps Wireless N media bridge

TRENDnet on Thursday launched the TEW-640MB 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge. The device will connect networked media center devices wirelessly and provide fast transfer speeds. The conduit is targeted at Ethernet-ready gaming consoles, networked TVs, receivers, DVRs and networked media hubs like the Apple TV.

The bridge is easy to setup with a router that has a WPS feature and dedicated button. The TEW-640MB has four Ethernet ports. Eliminating dead spots are the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antennae while the WMM Quality of Service (QoS) feature prioritizes gaming, Internet calls and other time-sensitive tasks. Device status is revealed by LEDs on the front of the router. Security scales up to WPA2 on the bridge, which can get a claimed range of up to 164 feet indoors and 328 feet outside.

The bridge is now shipping for $70.
