Google updates store with oft requested feature

Google has updated its Android Marketplace to deliver the oft requested ‘Related’ tab to help shoppers looking for similar apps. Initially, the feature which makes apps more readily discoverable, was thought to be unique to the forthcoming Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update. Instead users with a Droid 2 and Nexus One running Android 2.2 (Froyo) have discovered the tab appear on their devices overnight.

However, based on the initial screenshots the accuracy of the recommendations appears to need further tweaking. Users have reported finding related apps that are more relevant to their search up to a page down from where they should be expected to appear. [via Engadget]
