Samsung W899 gets dual Super AMOLED screens

Samsung has just announced a unique handset in China, the W899. The flip phone sports Android 2.2 but, unusually, gets dual Super AMOLED touchscreens on the flip portion. Each screen is sized at 3.3 inches and has the same 480x800 resolution.

Like traditional flip phones, a hardware keypad is also present. The phone has a 5-megapixel camera that can record 720p videos. In its intended country, it supports both CDMA/EVDO and GSM networks, has Wi-Fi, a GPS sensor and a microSD card slot.

The W899 can be purchased through China Telecom, but there is no indication on when or if it will be released in other markets. [via OLED-Display]
