Samsung LC11 LTE router for Verizon hits FCC

Samsung may be the first to provide a portable router for Verizon's just-launched 4G network based on a newly discovered FCC filing. The SCH-LC11 would support LTE on the 750MHz band that should fit in Verizon's range, making it a prime candidate. It would also have an EVDO fallback for the majority of the network still using 3G.

No clues exist as to the timeframe of when the LC11 would ship, although it comes a few weeks before Verizon's keynote and may be a prime candidate. MetroPCS' recent 4G network is also a possibility, although it has usually shied away from pure data services and only has a basic Samsung phone, the Craft, on its network. AT&T and T-Mobile aren't expected to have LTE until mid-2011 at the earliest. [via Engadget]
