Yamaha intros YSP-2200 16 speaker sound bar plus subwoofer

YSP-2200, a simple home theater solution
Yamaha has added the YSP-2200 digital sound projector to its YSP range. The slim line sound bar has a much narrower profile than the other sound bars in Yamaha’s current range. At just 3.5-inches high, it allows for a user to place the speaker in front of a flat screen TV without blocking the image.
The speaker cabinet houses 16 drivers, which are positioned to reflect sound off walls creating the illusion of surround sound without needing satellite speakers. A separate 100-watt subwoofer provides the low end. The speaker unit is also quite flexible, allowing users to connect up to four HDMI 1.4 inputs into the device, each input being 3D compatible.
The Yamaha YSO-2200 is available now for $1,000.
