Gigabyte, Soyo mainboards with AMD Zacate leaked
Two mainboards were leaked online on Wednesday thanks to EXPreview, both with AMD's Zacate chip. The two mainboards are from Gigabyte and Soyo, and the Zacate E350 chip common to both sports a clock speed of 1.6GHz with an integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics core. It will be designed for low-power desktops and nettops with just a peak 18W of power.
The Soyo mainboard uses DDR3 1333 RAM, has PCI-E x16, PCI-E x1 and PCI expansion slots, six SATA connections, four USB 2.0 ports and a combination HDMI/DVI/VGA port. A two-phase power supply is also onboard.
Gigabyte's GA-E350V-USB3 mainboard uses a Mini ITX form factor and uses a three-phase power supply along with solid-state capacitors. There are two DDR3 DIMM RAM slots and a PCI-E x16 slot. Four SATA ports and two USB 3.0 connectors are also onboard, along with VGA and DVI display outputs.
Launch dates or prices for either board have not been revealed but might be brought out at or near CES in January.
