WP7 handsets confirmed for Sprint, Verizon in Jan
Earlier rumors that Windows Phone 7 devices will arrive at both Sprint and Verizon were allegedly confirmed by a Tuesday report. The unnamed source for NeoWin didn't say whether the handsets for the carrier will be unveiled at CES. It's also unknown what the devices will be, though earlier reports had the HTC Trophy coming to Verizon; the HTC 7 Pro is already officially earmarked for Sprint.
Microsoft this year used CES to preview the T-Mobile USA edition of the HTC HD2 and is likely to make its new mobile OS a major component of Steve Ballmer's keynote this year.
The 7 Pro will sport a tilting QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of storage and a five-megapixel camera, along with a 3.6-inch, 480x800 touchscreen and up to 16GB of built-in storage. The Trophy is already available in Europe on GSM and has a touch-only design with a 3.8-inch, 480x800 touchscreen, a similar five-megapixel camera and 16GB of onboard storage.
