NEC prepping dual-screen Android tablet for CES

NEC is reportedly preparing to launch a dual-screen Android tablet, which is set to arrive at CES amid a myriad of other tablet introductions. The device is said to be a variant of the company's LifeTouch, a single-display tablet geared for corporate buyers. The upcoming model integrates two seven-inch displays, each capable of presenting different information

Detailed specs for the dual-screen LifeTouch remain unclear, although the existing model is powered by an ARM Cortex-A8 CPU and Android 2.1. The new offering is said to integrate Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G components.

Like its single-screen counterpart, the dual-screen tablet will not be distributed directly to consumers. The devices will likely show up as part of bundled deals or in enterprise deployments. Pricing and additional information has yet to be disclosed. [via PCWorld]
