Samsung Epic 4G getting Android 2.2.1 soon

The Samsung Epic 4G will get an update to Android 2.2.1 on December 26, the day after Christmas, a tipster told Phone Arena. Proof comes from a leaked memo, embedded below. The Android 2.2.1 over-the-air update will begin rolling out on December 26, and all handsets should get it within four days.

To recap, the software will allow users to install applications to memory cards, enhance the GPS functionality, allow voice dialing through Bluetooth and improve Bluetooth device support. The primary change involves the inclusion of Flash Player 10.1.
