Dell 7-inch tablet hits Wi-Fi Alliance and Vaja

Dell's plans for its Streak tablet sequel were firmed up on Thursday with official and semi-official listings. A Wi-Fi Alliance certification (PDF) lists the M02M, a number up from the Streak's M01M and a direct successor as a result. The clue reveals the presence of 802.11n Wi-Fi that the existing Streak doesn't have.

Separately, leather case maker Vaja has posted a new entry for a seven-inch Streak and considers it a distinctly different model than the five-inch version.

The device may be the Opus One, which would have a 1280x800 screen and possibly a dual-core 1.2GHz chip, although the original description painted it as a five-inch device more directly related to the Streak. It may instead by the seven-inch Looking Glass teased by Dell and which was due to ship within "weeks" in September. Both would use at least Android 2.2. [via PocketNow and StreakSmart]
